Possible starting a limousine service. . . ?

I found a limo for auction for like $2000 I was thinking around starting a limo service and having my brother drive. What do you need to begin a limo service….? A especial license? a business certificate?
yea…I forgot to mention…

It’s simply a lincoln. I got the thought because Im getting married and after looked at all the limo services roughly I went w/a mother & pop spot who didn’t have a min. Of 4 hours and had a flat rate I figured we’d do anything like that & cater to the younger people who’s possible on a fund or simply startng out.

Yes, you will need a business license and your brother will need a special license, sometimes called a chauffeur’s license. Plus. . .

You will need a whole lot of insurance. . .

And advertising money, because the competition in this business is very tough.

Most clients will insist on the latest model vehicles, so take that into consideration.

You need *huge* amounts of money to pay for all the insurance that will be required.

This site suggests that startup costs for a limo business run anywhere from $10,000 to $50,000:
